ENGLISH COMPASS AI / HIGHER EDUCATION

Language practice should lead to learning you can demonstrate.

A faculty-directed way to connect practice between classes to the evidence a college actually needs: comparable work, thoughtful feedback, accessible experiences, and a transparent path to implementation.

Public reading and writing samples are available. The faculty studio is an interactive planning demonstration—not a live campus system.

BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO APPROVE ADOPTION

A convincing case for every campus decision-maker.

Faculty, academic leaders, and IT do not ask the same questions. This partnership hub speaks to each of them.

01

Faculty & program directors

Create a course-aligned six-week schedule, inspect sample assignments, and define what quality looks like using a human-scored rubric.

Build a faculty pilot
02

Deans & continuing education

Evaluate outcomes, learner workload, operational assumptions and the evidence required to justify a wider rollout.

IT, accessibility & procurement

PROGRAM BLUEPRINTS

One learning architecture. Four teaching contexts.

A college should be able to shape the program around its students, not fit students into generic lessons.

01

Academic English / EAP

Source-based reading, argument, citation-aware writing and academic communication.

Build a faculty plan
02

ESL & bridge pathways

Foundational comprehension, practical language and progressive study habits.

03

Workforce English

Real workplace messages, customer conversations and role-relevant vocabulary.

04

Spanish & world languages

Bilingual learning tools with the same proposed assessment and review standards.

THE CORE DIFFERENCE

Learning evidence—not just logins.

A deliberately designed learning cycle informed by spaced review and retrieval practice. Independent learning outcomes must still be measured in a real pilot.

An academic evidence engine.

Four connected stages define what practice should accomplish. This is the proposed teaching design, not a claim of established product effectiveness.

THE PILOT MEASUREMENT MODEL

Four steps. One answer: did learning improve?

01

Baseline

Faculty score an initial task against explicit language competencies.

02

Practice

Learners complete short, relevant reading or writing activities.

03

Intervene

Review common errors and repeat skills after a delay.

04

Reassess

Compare a similar task with the same rubric, recording uncertainty.

Questions serious colleges should ask

How is this different from a self-study language app?

The proposed differentiator is faculty-aligned course design and comparable human-scored evidence of learning. The first version of that workflow is a planning simulation; authentic roster reporting is not yet connected.

Can we upload rosters, post grades or launch from Canvas today?

No. The required security, institutional permissions, LTI/SSO services and grade exchange need to be developed and tested before an identified-student deployment.

Can it replace an accredited placement test?

No. Existing public assessment suggestions and A1/B1/C1 samples are instructional guidance, not certified admission, placement or CEFR examinations.

Can a college review a pilot without sharing student data?

Yes. The public faculty studio creates a hypothetical teaching plan locally. A later real study must be separately approved under the institution’s privacy, accessibility and contractual requirements.

Are there published outcomes or university partnerships?

Not yet. We publish a proposed way to measure learning gains and will distinguish external research from evidence about English Compass AI.

How do we request a pilot and discuss pricing?

Use the institutional inquiry form to share a department, approximate cohort and intended outcome. Institutional pricing, pilot scope and any fees would be agreed in writing, not charged through this inquiry.

GLOBAL ACCESS · COMMUNITY LEARNING

Meaningful English practice should reach beyond campus.

Our free text-first conversation tool and printable practice workbook give departments, libraries, and community programs materials they can share with learners who lack English-speaking partners or stable internet. This is an access initiative, not a measured impact claim.

FOR PROGRAM CHAIRS, FACULTY & INSTITUTIONAL LEADERS

Bring us the learning challenge. We'll build the evaluation around it.

Request a working conversation about cohort goals, faculty workflows, realistic security gates and what evidence a pilot would have to produce.

Our hosted inquiry form collects institutional contact and pilot-scope details. Do not include student records. No charges or school commitments are created.
